Perfactory3
XGA Desktop System
Rapid Prototyping & Discret Manufacturing
The Perfactory3 XGA Desktop (DT) System is perfectly suited for reproducing
CAD designs created with Gemvision’s Matrix software in a castable resin.
With its large envelope, multiple pieces can be created in just one build.
Perfactory's advanced technology allows thin-wall parts and even hollow
parts to be produced. The high rate of build speed means a typical build can
produce five rings in five hours making it the ultimate medium-volume CAM
solution.
Technology
The
Perfactory3 creates three-dimensional resin models by projecting a sequence
of digital masks onto a photo curable polymer utilizing Texas
Instruments’ DLP (Digital Light Process) chip which allows for high build
speeds with excellent reproduction of detail and unparalleled reliability.
Ease of Use
The compact and mobile Perfactory is designed to connect directly to a PC
workstation or be integrated into a network. System installation, operation
and maintenance is as easy as using a desktop printer. Its small footprint
is only 18” x 31” x 18” (L x H x D), and it weighs just 55 lbs.
Maintenance
Minimal moving parts make for maximum performance and minimal maintenance.
Routine maintenance is easily performed by the operator.
Castable
Resin
While there are other wax-based materials on the market, they tend to be far
more brittle and harder to finish when compared with the models built on the
Perfactory system using the PIC-100 resin. The PIC-100 liquid photopolymer
is suitable for secondary operations such as sanding and polishing. The
resin melts into a liquid wax-like material during investment casting
without the need for any high temperature burnout cycles. Although the
casting process is not identical to that used for wax, the burnout and
casting techniques required also work well for traditional wax.
Cost
The Perfactory3 DT System is cost effective to purchase and operate. The
cost includes everything you need, from training and a year’s worth of
support to materials & shipping costs. Minimal consumable components
make this a low-cost, high output solution (CHF 4.00-7.00 per model in
consumables).
